Sushica Village


It is 14 km west of the town of Strajitsa, 40 km northeast of the town of Veliko Tarnovo, 28 km northeast of the town of Gorna Oryahovitsa, 192 km west of the town of Varna and 260 km from the capital Sofia.
The altitude is about 300 m. The climate is temperate and is characterized by hot summer with dry periods, cool and early spring, winter with minimum precipitation and small snow coverage. The climate conditions are favorable for crops growing. In proximity is Baniska river.
The permanent population is about 790 people. The village is well maintained with electricity and water installations made. The access to the village is through an asphalt road. There is regular bus transportation to Strajitsa town. In the village there are Internet connection and cable TV.
In the village are working town hall, community center, kindergarten, primary school, post office, church, parks, stadium, stores, two taverns and dentist. The nearest high school

There are a few small dams near the village. The area is picturesque, ecological and clean. It is suitable for a cavation, relaxation, for hunt and fishing.
The church in the village - St Paraskeva is said to be monument of the arts. There are also a few monuments for the people who died in the Russo-Turkish war. There is a park with hardware.
