Maryan Village
Maryan is village in Northern Bulgaria in the municipality of Elena. The village is situated on the main road Elena - Sliven, between the rivers Boruvshtitsa (Ruhovska, Miykovska) and Barzitsa (Kostelsko). From North, East and West it is surrounded by hills.
The distance to the municipal town of Elena is 5 km. and to disrtict center Veliko Tarnovo - 46km
Dolni Maryan offers excellent conditions for recreation and eco-tourism - the amazing silence, mountains, rivers and beautiful scenery.

History
The village of Maryan is considered to be one of the oldest in the municipality of Elena and even older than Elena. There are remains from a church from V or VI century. Near the church are found columns from the same time which are kept in the archeological museum in Sofia. These remains were found near the rivers in the northern part of the village.
