Belyakovec Village
Belyakovets is a village in Northern Bulgaria, located 2km away from Veliko Tarnovo. In the land of Belyakovets, through the excavation of sites and the analysis of artefacts and other physical remain has been found the earliest city which is considered to be the late Paleolithic. It covers an area of 200 acres. The number of stone tools evidence of occupation of the village for many centuries. Caves and stone weapons from the early Paleolithic have been found nearby. In one of these caves before 1989 has been built reinforced concrete bunker while on the north side is located the beautiful valley of the river Rakovets.
In the village there is a kindergarten, local shops and cafes, regular bus transport to the nearest towns.
