Polski Trymbesh Municipality
Polski Trambesh Municipality is located in the northeastern part of Veliko Tarnovo District and occupies the Central North Bulgaria and parts of the Danube Plain. That is why the plains characterize the relief in this region. Polski Trambesh Municipality comprises 15 settlements altogether – the municipal town of Polski Trambesh and 14 villages. Polski Trambesh stands 40km north of the former capital Veliko Tarnovo, 50km south-east of the riverside town of Svishtov, 80km south-west of Rousse, 200km north-east from the capital Sofia, and 200 km from the seaside city of Varna. And the villages of the municipality are evenly distributed across the its territory. The biggest ones are Sashevo, Strahilovo, Pavel, Polski Senovets, and Dolna Lipnitsa, which are well-kept and tranquil, and are preferred places in this area from the homebuyers.
An important role for the municipality plays “Yantra” River, whose numerous meanders are cutting through Polski Trambesh territory. These meanders predispose the fishing, the organizing of picnic and camping, and the practicing of open-air recreation activities. The flat relief and the moderate-continental climate of the municipality favor the development of the agriculture. That is the main profit-making sector of Polski Trambesh area. Mostly vegetables, vines and grain crops are grown.
As for the cultural amenities in that territory, important role play the national community reading centers, which revive and preserve the Bulgarian traditions. The entire cultural life of the settlements is focused on them – library and museum activities, amateur art works and all kind of activities aiming the preservation of the national cultural heritage. The historical monuments are well-kept, as well. The most significant one is the “Ada-Kuzu” area, where archeological excavations are done. It is set near the Neolithic village of Orlovets.
