Polski Trymbesh City
The first time the village is mentioned in the Ottoman registeries in 1430 with the name of Polski Turmbesh. It has got few more names but in each one of them there is the word of Trumbesh. Its meaning comes from slavonic which mean preparing the ground for plough, e.g. cleaning from gras, stones.
The village has always been with a small population. But after the carry out of the railway line Ruse- Gorna Oryakhovitsa the region becomes more developed economicly.
The sporting spirit of the community and the availability of the railway and roads helps the quick development of the industry which is a premise for the growth of the population and is proclaimed for a town in 1964.
The town has a tradition in the swimming. Few years ago in the town there have been republic competitions. There is a sport base with an outdoor and in-door swimming pools, one of them has got an olympic size.
Due to Pencho Kubadinski in the 80’s is founded a complex for hunting shoot.
The availability of mineral spring on the territory of Polski Turmbesh gives the municipality the chance for international relations.
