Hotnica Village
The village of Hotnitsa is situated 18 km northwest of Veliko Tarnovo.
It has a number of archaeological phenomenons - there are at least 70 settlements which are from the early Neolithic period in antiquity to the late Middle Ages, three other villages from the early Neolithic, four from the Late Neolithic, several of Antiquity and Middle Ages. Some treasures that have been found there (V-IV millennium BC) evidence that the territory was inhabited by one of the earliest civilization in Europe. Special attention is the famous treasure of Hotnitsa consisting of 44 items, 310 grams weight.
The most beautiful place near the village is the Hotnitsa Waterfall with an eco-trail, as well.
