Varusha City Region
3100 inhabitants live in “Varusha” district and a plan for regulation of this area was made in 1971.
The district is located in the heart of Veliko Tarnovo, north of downtown. The area is quiet and is characterized by ancient houses, which still retain the Renaissance spirit, close to the famous with its business street “Samovodka charshia”. Also, in “Varusha” are located the so called Old hospital and the American college, the Monkey House, St. Nicholas church, the Dry fountine. "Varusha" area is preferred by many tourists because of its attractive location - peaceful and quiet, while only about 5 minutes from the center of Veliko Tarnovo.
