Gradishte Village

The village is located in central northern Bulgaria, on the road between the towns of Levski and Pavlikeni. In general, the village is communicative, there is a railway station on the line Sofia - G. Oryahovitsa - Varna. Two rivers flow through the village. One is called Dry Bar, who knows why, but makes a lot of floods. South of the village is the locality Taraklaka (Nrebenovo). It is like a park with centuries-old oak trees. Near it, in the northwest direction, the Osam River flows. The land of Gradishte village is very diverse - fertile fields, shady forests, as well as several old riverbeds of the Osam River.
History
There is a legend that says there was a locality called Derma Bair. But a plague occurred in the village and killed half the population of the area. The other half escaped and established a village called Gradishte.

The version that is most plausible is that it was founded by the first Bulgarians who settled across the Danube between 670 and 685.

Yes, there was a fortress and the ruins are still preserved, but they are stone.
Cultural Amenities
The Chitalishte is more than 100 years old and still maintains the spirit of the village. Until fifteen years ago, there was an amateur theater. Performances came to export renowned artists for their time. The townsfolk had the pleasure of watching Vidin Daskalov and Zorka Dimitrova, Georgi Partsalev, Stoyanka Mutafova, Tatiana Lolova and others. The amateurs of the village still win competitions for folk songs and customs. The folk costume of the village is extremely beautiful and every little town has it, wears it on holidays, keeps and cherishes it. Holidays are celebrated throughout the village, and Zarezan, Babinden and Lazarovden are of particular note. Survakars, carols, and even Baba Martha can meet on the street at the right time.

People are smart, hardworking and most of all talented. They have their own song about the village. The roots of Parzalev, Pasha Hristova, the soloists of Goran Bregovic are from the village of Gradishte. Apologies for the missed names of people involved in science and sports. The Victory football team is not in the A group, but there is one. How many villages have competitors and run motocross races? In times of crisis, the stadium is in deplorable condition, but at least it is next to the most beautiful and natural park with centuries-old oaks.
