Sredni Kolibi Village
The village of Sredni Kolibi is located 13km away from the town of Elena. It is situated in a hilly area, sheltered by the winds. It is surrounded by hills- Brusova mogila, Risova stena, Debelo burdo, Kosharkite, Moravkite. East of the village is located the “Yovkovtsi” dam lake. It is reckoned that in the past the ancient road from Danube river and South Bulgaria used to pass through it.
The village of Sredni Kolibi exiss from before the liberation. Accourding to some, it was founded in 1530. It is populated only by Bulagrians, with 50 houses. Every year, on the 6th and the 7th of May the village celebrates its traditional meeting.
The school has existed since 1835.
The community centre “Sabujdane” is built on 6th Decembre 1893
