Polikrayishte Village
Polikraishte is a village in Northern Bulgaria. It is located in the municipality of Gorna Oryahovitsa, Veliko Tarnovo District. The village is situated in a valley, 3 km from the southern bank of Rosica river, 14 km from Veliko Turnovo and 7 km from the town of Gorna Oryahovitsa. Population is only Bulgarian. The highway Rousse- Veliko Turnovo passes through Polikraishte. It si situated at the end of the foothills of the Central Balkan Mountains, where it receives its name. In the land of the village runs Rositsa river. The village of Polikraishte is one of the oldest settlements in the area. For the first time it was mentioned in a Turkish firman in 15th century with the name of Bulikrayshte.
