Djuliunica Village
The village of Djuliunitsa is located 26km east of Veliko Turnovo, near the main road Sofia-Varna.
Djuliunitsa is an old settlement, which has existed in 13th and 14th century. Disappeared during the Turkish slavery and inhabited again in 16th- 17th century. South of the village there are ruins from medieval settlement.
In the land of the village have been found remains such as bones of the oldest man in Europe, a barrow from the Neolithic age, Thracian funeral, Byzantine settlement, a Roman citadel, which was turned into a fourtress from the Second Bulgarian Kingdom, and many more.
