| Bulgaria will host a round of the Volvo and IMG Golf Championship |

Volvo and IMG have announced a change in their golf strategy – they will bring the Championship to new geographical areas. In 2013 the first host destination is Bulgaria. The Volvo World Match Play Championship will be played from the 16th to the 19th May on the Thracian Cliffs Course near the town of Kavarna. The selection of Bulgaria to host a round of the Golf Championship came after it received recognition as "Undiscovered Golf Destination 2012" at the International Golf Travel Market, the premier golf travel event in Belek, Turkey.
The Volvo World Match Play Championship is one of the most prestigious golf tournaments in the world. The event is watched by over 1.5 billion people worldwide. It is attended by over 8000 tourists, and the accompanying VIP events bring together some of the greatest golf players in the world and many celebrities, fans of this prestigious sport. The world media broadcasting this event present also the history of the host country, the conditions for business and tourism it offers, as well as the cultural attractions in the region. In the Volvo World Match Play 2013 Championship will compete 24 of the best professional golfers in the world. The prize fund is EURO 3.4 million.
