The Sveshtari treasure will be part of a Bulgarian exhibition at the Louvre |

The golden treasure, excavated last week in the Thracian tomb of Sveshtari, in the archaeological reserve "Sborianovo" will be part of the exhibition of Bulgarian historical artifacts in the Louvre in Paris . Under a a five-year agreement on cultural exchange between Bulgaria and France, signed by the Minister of Culture Vezhdi Rashidov, the world-acclaimed museum will host in the spring of 2014 an exhibition, including items from the Thracian treasures, found in Bulgaria. The Sveshtari golden treasure will be displayed in the Hall of the Seven Fireplaces along with 145 selected artifacts, including findings from the Valley of Thracian Kings, exhibits from the Borovo Treasure, the Thracian treasures from Ravnogor, Rogozen and Panagyurishte, as well as items from the king's necropolis near the village of Duvanli.
In 2015 Bulgaria will display at the Louvre the most valuable works of Byzantine art, and in 2016 manuscripts from the Ottoman Empire, kept in the National Library in Sofia will be presented at the museum.
