Nowadays, Bacho Kiro Cave is one of the most visited attractions in Bulgaria. Over the weekend many people come here to relax and breathe a breath of fresh air.
Bacho Kiro cave is located about 10 minutes walk from the Dryanovo Monastery. To reach it will have to go through a picturesque place with many trees and a small flowing creek. Then you will reach a bridge, just across a run against him, a small beautiful waterfall. Will have to be climbed down some stairs and only then will end up at the entrance of the cave. On one side of the cave begins the scenic Eco, which can bring you to the many beautiful sights in the vicinity.
Inside the cave is dark because there are lights, which aims both to serve for better orientation for visitors and - big effect of sight. Constant temperature in the cave for all seasons is 13 degrees.
Through excavations and many studies have found traces of life from the middle and late Paleolithic. In Bacho Kiro will witness a wide variety of limestone formations such as stalactites, stalagmites, curtains and columns. In the cave you can see the so-called "Purgatory" where people are purified of their sins and prayed for forgiveness (represents a very small and narrow hole in the rock in which it is very difficult to move) and "outbreak" Where was their source of heat and light.
Bacho Kiro today is one of the most visited caves in Bulgaria and there is nothing strange, because this is one incredible sequence of places that one can find in our country.
