| Seventh watermelon fest in Nikyup |

For a seventh time Nikyup will host the watermelon fest. It will take place on 4th August from 7 p.m. Guests are expected from all over the world. The village is known for producing one of the sweetest watermelons in the country. The local agricultural cooperative will provide 5 tons watermelons for the fest.
Craftsman will show carving on watermelons, body arts, processions with melon rinds, exhibition of local producers. There will be competitions such as eating competitions, watermelon rolling and watermelon weight guessing. Special guest of the fest will be the folk singer Yuri Krumov.
During the fest there will be concerts, acrobatic performances, folklore dances, a brass-band.
