| Holiday of Elena pork ham |

From 27th to 29th October in the town of Elena will be held the sixth edition of Elena`s Ham Holiday. The feast is held every year on the city`s town market, where tastings, competitions and exhibitions are organized.
Within the framework of the event and old deer tradition will be recreated, involving men - the roasting of a pig over a trap. Guests of the holiday will witness the competition of the masters of the most delicious hams and will be able to taste the unique dishes that will prepare the people of Elena.
Elena`s ham is salted and dried pork ham and it is definitely one of Bulgarians meat delicacy. There will also be demonstrations of arts and crafts. Everything will happen with an accompanying rich folklore program.
