Celebrate the Liberation of Turnovo on the occasion of the 140th anniversary The liberation of Tarnovo will be recreated for the residents and guests of the old Bulgarian capital. The attractive reconstruction is on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of the remarkable historical event that took place on July 7, 1877. Like a century and a half ago, Bulgarian volunteers will once again carry an authentic battle flag from the time of the April uprising. The Turkish garrison will confess its capitulation to General Joseph Gurko, the native volunteers and the Russian troops, and around the old Konak will echo the words "Freedom," "Live," "Ura". The reconstruction will be the culmination of the celebrations of the 140th anniversary of the Liberation of Turnovo and will take place on 8 July. At 10.30 am a great procession takes place on Gurko Street. The Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo invites the citizens and the guests of the city to participate in the procession and also to dress with folk costumes. The Battle will be played in front of the Renaissance and Constituent Assembly Museum of 70 reactors dressed in authentic uniforms and carrying weapons from the late 19th century. On July 7, the 140th anniversary of the Liberation of Turnovo will be celebrated with several events. At 18.30, in the Marno Field Park, performances of the Municipal Big Band will be launched, with the musicians in the area of the Geneva monument. Gurko. Half an hour later, the officials, residents and guests of Veliko Tarnovo will bring flowers in front of the monument to the warlord, as well as to the monument "Mother Bulgaria". At 19.30 in the Tsar Asen I Square, a concert will bring the talents from the Professional Folk Ensemble "Iskra". At 20.30 in front of Tsarevets fortress, the mayor Daniel Panov will address the festive speech, and the evening will end with a military ritual and a feast fire. On Saturday, July 8, the "Renaissance and Constituent Assembly" Museum, the Sarafkin House and the Prison Museum will have free entrance for visitors. It features 44 weapons. Among them are the sword, the dagger and the bay of Vasil Levski, the weapons of the revolutionaries Hristo Botev, Georgi Rakovski, Panayot Hitov, Stefan Karadzha, Hadji Dimitar, and Matei Preobrazhenski.
