22 MARCH – HOLIDAY OF VELIKO TARNOVO |

Anually on 22 March, the town of Veliko Tarnovo celebrates its holiday. It turns that the Old Capital of Bulgaria is the first Bulgarian town that defines its own day in the borders of The Third Bulgarion Kingdom.
This year as every year before the Municipality has prepared a lot of attractions and an interesting program for the citizens and guests of the town. In three days long the town – pretender for European capital of culture will be transformed into a preferred place for entertainment both of adults and children.
In Marno pole park will take place interactive children show. Along the streets of the town will move the annual Street parade.
Everyone will have the possibility to watch the 3D mapping show. The modernistic performance will be projected on the building of the Art gallery “Boris Denev” in close proximity of the monument Asenevts. Hundreds of paper lanterns will illuminate the sky over the night Veliko Tarnovo.
On 23 March, in Arbanasi – only 3 km from Veliko Tarnovo, the citizens and the guests of the town will have the possibility to see the “kushia” and the competition for the most beautiful horse. On the same day in the evening the traditional performance “Sound and light show” will take place on the Medieval fortress Tzarevetz.
24 March – Blagoveshtenie (Lady day) will turn into a day, when everyone can sport in the park. |
