Voneshta voda is one of the universally recognized mountain resorts in Bulgaria. It attracts tourists not only for its beautiful scenery, but also for its mineral waters.
Location: Voneshta voda village is located in a valley where Bistritsa River and Raykovska River flow.
This is the crossroad of South and North Bulgaria and the roads to Tryavna, Gabrovo and Elena. The village is in the immediate proximity to Haimboaz Pass, about 580 m above the sea level. The village is 28 km to the south of Veliko Tarnovo.
Voneshta voda is a resort famous for its mineral springs, which are curative and important SPA resource. The temperature of the mineral curative water is 13 degrees with stable physical and chemical properties, with proven therapeutic and prophylactic effect for many diseases.
Landmarks: Voneshta voda has rich history. This is the birthplace of the revolutionary Filip Totyo His house-museum is located here.
Kilifarevski monastery
Kilifarevski monastery "Nativity of the Virgin" was founded in 1348 by the famous Bulgarian Hesychasts Theodosius of Turnovo with the support of King Ivan Alexander. Theodosius became abbot of the monastery and it became one of the most important literary center in Bulgaria.
Dryanovo monastery
Dryanovo monastery was founded at the end of 12th and early 13 century. Its current outlook the monastery acquired in 1880 when it was restored after its burning by the Turks.
In Dryanovo Monastery was founded a museum collection with exhibits from all historical eras including Neolithic finds, discovered in a nearby cave Bacho Kiro. The monastery also houses the exhibition "Archaeology and Renaissance" of the Historical Museum of Dryanovo, which introduces the historical development of Dryanovo region and the emergence of the monastery.
