| Building of the Year national contest 2009 |

The new edition of Building of the Year national contest is held for 8-th time this year presenting the development of architecture and construction in Bulgaria in 21 century.
The event started in 2002 on the initiative of Stroitelstvo Gradat weekly under the auspices of the Ministry of regional development and public works and with the support of the professional organizations of architects, engineers and building companies.
In the years of its existence the most prestigious awards for quality, legal and sustainable construction went into new territories.
Thanks to its goals protecting the public interest and the aspirations to new esthetic achievements this is one of the most popular events in the sector all over the country.
Among the main goals of the awards is presenting the modern and sustainable architecture and models of high architectural and building mastery, presentation of new concepts and ideas in design and construction and of application of building technologies and products.
More than 80 projects participate in the contest in nine categories: Residential buildings and estates, City hotels, Holiday hotels, Holiday estates, Business buildings, Retail buildings, Industrial buildings and logistic centres, Special purpose buildings, Multi-functional buildings. |
