| Bulgaria promotes tourism with ten million leva for half a year |

Bulgaria promoted its tourism opportunities with 10 203 000 leva (abot 5 million euro) funding from the beginning of 2012 until the end of May. This was announced after the National Tourist Council meeting in the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism on July 5.
The Ministry provided 1 564 000 leva (over 750 000 euro) from its budget and the other part of the money – 8 639 000 leva (over 4 300 000 euro) came from projects of the Operational Program for Regional Development.
In the process of implementation are a few more projects financed by the operational programs. The projects are related to journalists’ tours in Bulgaria, taking photos in the area of South Bulgaria and preparing advertising materials.
Bulgaria is going to promote itself with outdoor advertising in Frankfurt Airport. Also, nearly a hundred of billboards will be put in Paris’s underground.
Another part of the advertising campaign is going to be studying of the culinary diversity of Bulgaria and preparing a culinary map with traditional meals typical for every region.
