| Roman festival “Nike – the game and the victory” to be held |

A Roman festival Nike – the game and the victory” will be held on 13th August in the ancient roman town Nikopolis ad Istrum.
The visitors will see jewelries which are made based on the original findings, coinage, pottery, roman cuisine, slave market, demonstration on roman medicine, and rituals on bird divination. Other entertainments included in the program are gladiatorial fights, roman fashion, roman theater, wedding, palmistry, roman games.
Groups from all over the country will take part in the reconstructions.
Visitors can make their own ancient clothes. The most attractive and authentic clothes will take a prize.
Nicopolis ad Istrum or Nicopolis ad Iatrum was a Roman and Early Byzantine town founded by Emperor Trajan around 101–106, at the junction of the Iatrus (Yantra) and the Rositsa rivers, in memory of his victory over the Dacians. Its ruins are located at the village of Nikyup, 20 km north of Veliko Tarnovo in northern Bulgaria.
