The fest “Daily life in Ancient Tarnovo” , part of the international historical re-enactment fest, will be held for a first time. It is organized by Veliko Tarnovo municipality, Regional Historical Museum - Veliko Tarnovo and the club “Tradition”.
The fest will be held in Tsarevets fortress and will offer to its guests an unique and mysterious experience – a historical re-enactment to customs, cuisine, arts and crafts, martial arts and etc from XII to XIV century. Some of the best historical re-enactment groups will take part in the event. There will be many Bulgarian participants but also from Serbia, Romania, Russia and Ukraine.
Equipped tents and yurts with possessions from those ages will be shown. Also, a lot of crafts will be shown such as metal casting, hammering, knitting, loom, pottery and producing of tools and weapons. There will be competitions for the craftsmen. Cooks will make authentic ancient recepies not only from Bulgaria but from Byzantium, Orient and West Europe. Another interesting thing will be fights with different types of weapons such as - swords, pike, whip and bow. For a first time in the fortress a sword tournament will be held. There also will be staging, musicians, pavilions with souvenirs and many other things.
