Junior Achievement Contest Wraps up in Sofia
Monday, Jul 05, 2010
The 7th Enterprise Challenge meeting young enterpreneurs from across the EU and organized by Junior Achievement Bulgaria was held June 1-4 in Sofia.

The contest was won by Dutch student company Greeny for a children's educational game promoting environmental conservation. Greeny also got the sustainability prize offered by Citibank.

Norwegians Top Save landed on the second spot for a safety vest for construction workers. They also won the prize for international potential sponsored by Devnya Cement.

Bulgarian students from Sofia University from the RS Consult firm – ranked as Best Student Company in Bulgaria 2010 – got the Intel prize for innovation for the online chess game for three they developed. The other Bulgarian company – Kiwi Design from the Technical University Sofia – failed to pick up an award.

Norwegian company SeSo got the Hewlett-Packard responsible business prize, while Belgians Sens Aqua took the Nestle marketing strategy distinction.

80 enterpreneurs from all EU member-states participated in this year's Enterprise Challenge. They are part of special “learning companies”, organized with the help of Junior Achievement and developing real products and services. The final of the Challenge, which was held in Bulgaria's capital Sofia had products and results rated by a jury. The contest aims at fostering creative and strategic thinking among young people across Europe.
