Zero energy houses

The technologies develop and get more perfect and every day we witness new discoveries in the field of heat insulation and energy saving materials.
And if in practice there is already an almost zero loss of energy the consumption is always a fact. For these reasons an ever bigger number of energy efficiency specialists are more and more convinced about the need for full transition from convention to renewable energy sources.
The next step are the so called zero energy buildings in which the conventional sources energy is zero is the comment of the energy efficiency expert Rosen Savov, M.Sc.Arch.
Among their different names are Zero site energy, Zero source energy, Off-site zero energy use, Zero carbon emissions.
The development of this concept is mainly in a few directions. First is to find new building materials in order to decrease the width of the outer walls and to increase their insulation parameters.
The second way is to find ecologically clean building materials.
The third way is integrating into the building envelope of new building materials, products of modern technologies like the nano-technologies.
