The number of people who have relocated to property in Bulgaria in search of a better life is expected to grow, according to one sector resource. Industry magazine Quest has stated that the ever-increasing lure of the country is likely to see a rise in the number of expats living in property in Bulgaria. According to the publication, one of the main reasons for moving include the low price of property in Bulgaria and this is bolstered by the cost of living, which is far less expensive than in some other regions. "Today property prices for apartments and village houses are extremely realistic and sustainable," the publication stated. It added that the fact that Bulgaria has withstood most of the effects of the worldwide economic downturn is another reason why people are flocking to buy a home there. Recently, Quest's Cost of Living 2009 survey showed that some items in UK supermarkets are twice as expensive as those in Bulgarian stores after exchange rates are taken into account. |
