Park "Detski Kat" in Gorna Oryahovitsa – a wonderful place for rest and relaxation

The park covers an area of 53 decares (dka). A network of main, secondary, and circular walking alleys has been built. Dedicated zones have been created for walks and social interactions, for picnics, and for active recreation.

In the center of the park there is a plaza with a fountain, surrounded by seating areas. The existing healthy trees were preserved, and new shrubs and trees were planted—species with notable ornamental qualities and beautiful flowering, as well as flowering plants and ornamental grasses. Energy-efficient park lighting and a video surveillance system have been installed.

The facilities installed in this new favorite place of the residents of Gorna Oryahovitsa are as follows:

- 6 children’s playgrounds, three of which are for ages 0–12 (with rubber or wood-chip surfacing) and three more for ages 3–12 (with sand or wood-chip surfacing).
- The park includes 11 swings, 2 combined play structures, 5 rocking rides, 1 seesaw, 2 combined climbing structures, and 6 “igloo”-style Indian huts.
- The fitness area contains a total of 9 exercise stations.
- The general physical training zone with sand surfacing includes 5 additional equipment stations.

A multifunctional sports field with rubber flooring and lighting has been built. Nearby there is a skateboard area. In the picnic zone, there are 32 specially designed tables. Along the walking paths, 105 benches and 92 waste bins have been installed. For rest and relaxation, 4 large wooden gazebos have been placed. Throughout the park, 4 drinking water fountains have been installed.
