Veliko Tarnovo Unveils Bulgaria's Largest Retail Park Outside the Capital

On St. Nicholas Day, Veliko Tarnovo marked a significant milestone with the opening of the expanded section of its Trade Park. This development transforms the first-ever trade park in Bulgaria, originally inaugurated in 2005, into the largest retail hub outside Sofia.

The latest phase of the Trade Park represents an investment of over 8 million leva, adding over 6,000 square meters of built-up area and seven new retail outlets featuring renowned brands. The expansion has created nearly 200 new jobs, further boosting the local economy and enhancing Veliko Tarnovo's role as a commercial and economic hub.

During the opening ceremony, Mayor Daniel Panov expressed gratitude to investors Krasimir Gardev and Radoslav Vladev, along with their partners, for recognizing and contributing to the economic potential of the Old Capital.

"With this expansion, Veliko Tarnovo Trade Park offers an even greater variety of shopping options for residents and visitors alike. Renowned brands with quality products have been brought together in one convenient location. I am confident that the high standard of service will continue to meet the expectations of our community.

This investment also signifies the beginning of an entirely new urban area development—a collaborative effort between local authorities and investors. Together, we aim to foster growth, create a better urban environment, provide more jobs, and elevate the standard of living in Veliko Tarnovo," Panov remarked during the opening ceremony.

Looking ahead, the Trade Park is set to grow further, with construction of a state-of-the-art trampoline park beginning in early 2025. Spanning nearly 2,000 square meters, the facility will offer innovative spaces for children's entertainment and sports, enhancing Veliko Tarnovo's appeal as a family-friendly destination.

The Trade Park's expansion reflects Veliko Tarnovo's ongoing transformation into a vibrant center for business, leisure, and modern urban living.
