| 1 million people have already taken part in online census |

A day before the end of the electronic census in Bulgaria it was reported that 1 million people had already taken part in it. The government is yet to decide whether to extend the deadline until September 24, the head of the National Statistical Institute, Sergei Tsvetarski, has told BNR.
Tsvetarski has called on people to take part in the electronic census before the official deadline of September 17th. Expectations are for about 70% of citizens to participate in the electronic census. Technical difficulties at the beginning of the campaign were not caused by the big number of participants, but by a malicious attack, Tsvetarski said. |
