| he number of Bulgarian citizens travelling abroad and of foreign nationals travelling to Bulgaria increased, latest data of the National Statistical Institute shows. In September 2018 a total of 633.4 thousand Bulgarians travelled abroad, which is 11.0% more as compared to the same period in 2017. The number of trips to Turkey increased with 31.9% month on month, to Romania (14.8%) and to Serbia (12.8%). The number of foreign citizens visiting Bulgaria in September amounted to 1.324 million, or 4.2% more as compared to September 2017. 62.9% of the foreign guests were EU citizens, which was 3.1% more as compared to the same month in 2017. |
