| Close to 18,000 applications for Bulgarian citizenship submitted for one year |

Bulgarian Minister of Justice Tsetska Tsacheva has said in parliament that 17,793 applications for Bulgarian citizenship have been submitted over the past year.
The largest number of applications has been submitted by nationals of Macedonia – 10,252, Ukraine– 1894, Albania– 1510, Serbia– 1013, Moldova – 851, Turkey– 763, Israel – 372 and Russia– 359.
Among applicants seeking Bulgarian citizenship by naturalization, the largest number comes from citizens of Russia –148 followed by citizens of Ukraine– 59, Iraq –50 and Armenia–37. |
