| The European Union Will Lift Visas for Kosovo by the End of 2018 |

Kosovo Parliament Speaker, Kadri Veseli, talking to T7 TV channel says the European Union will lift visas for Kosovo by the end of 2018, Gazeta Express reported.
“I am very confident in partnership with the EU,” said Veseli. He made the comments after Kosovo Parliament ratified on Wednesday the border Agreement with Montenegro, which is one of the last criteria for getting visa liberalisation with the EU.
Talking to T7 show “Pressing” hosted by Leonard Kerquki, Veseli said that during a meeting with the EU ambassadors on Wednesday morning, ahead of the vote on ratification of demarcation with Montenegro, he got the message that the EU fully supports the ratification. He said that Kosovo will get visa liberalisation by the end of this year. “By the end of 2018, namely by mid-December, I think Kosovars will get visa liberalisation,” Veseli told T7. He said that he received this promise from the EU representatives.
Commenting now on the only criterion left on visa liberalisation – fighting organised crime and corruption, Veseli, said that this is a challenge which will be dealt by Kosovo authorities in continuity. |
