Bulgaria stepped into standard astronomical time
Monday, Oct 30, 2017
Bulgaria has stepped into the winter (standard) astronomical time on Sunday, October 29. At 4 am clocks were moved back one hour. The astronomical time will last until the last Sunday of March 2018. The summer time (daylight saving time) was introduced in the beginning of the 20th century. Countries use DST to make better use of natural daylight in the evenings. Bulgaria adopted the daylight saving time in 1979.
