The retrospective exhibition which belongs to one of the most popular painters in Bulgaria at the middle of 20th century Bedig Bedrossian, currently on display at the National Art Gallery of Armenia.

The Wharfs exhibition is under the patronage of His Holiness Karekin II Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians. The opening will take place on October 3rd, 2017 at 18.00 at the National Art Gallery of Armenia.

Bedig Bedrosian was the son of Armenians expelled from their homeland and settled in Bulgarian lands. The many paintings by Bedig Bedrosian owned by national, public and private collections in Bulgaria, Romania, Russia, France, Canada, Italy, Armenia and abroad bear witness to the significance of the heritage bequeathed by the ethnic Armenian Silistra artist.

Bedrosyan’s works number over 600 oil-on-canvas and oil-on-board landscapes, sketches, cartoons, and etchings. Many have survived. Others have now been found, restored and shown at different exhibitions by the artist’s nephew Kevork Krikorian.
