Bulgaria’s tourism sector sees record growth
Thursday, Sep 01, 2016
There has been a record growth in Bulgaria's tourism sector since the beginning of 2016, with July seeing a 20% increase year-on-year.
Overall, for the first seven months of 2016, tourism sector has grown by 16.9% year-on-year.

The good news was announced by Bulgaria's Tourism Minister Nikolina Angelkova in an interview with Focus news agency.

Compared to 2015, the strongest year so far, the increase in the sector is 13.5%

If the current pace is kept over the next in August and September, the forecast annual growth will be surpassed by ten percent.

Most importantly, the growth lends itself to a steady increase in the number of tourists from leading markets like France, Poland, Germany and the Czech Republic since the beginning of 2016.
