Bulgaria very good place for doing business, investments: Bulgaria’s CEDB deputy chair in Beijing
Wednesday, Jun 08, 2016
“Bulgaria is a very good place for doing business and [making] investments as we have the lowest tax rate on profits in Europe, qualified personnel, and a special attitude towards investors,” said Tsvetan Tsvetanov, Deputy Chairperson of mandate-holder Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (CEDB) and Chairperson of the CEDB parliamentary group, speaking at a meeting with Zhou Li, Vice Minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the CEDB press centre announced.
Tsvetanov leads a delegation of CEDB, which is on a visit to the capital Beijing at the invitation of the Communist Party of China.
The delegation is also comprised of Menda Stoyanova, member of the CEDB Executive Commission and chair of the parliamentary committee on budget and finance, Delyan Dobrev, district coordination of the Haskovo-based CEDB structure, and Sofia Tsvetkova, International Secretary of CEDB.
“The opportunities for making investments in Bulgaria are facilitated by the fact CEDB mayors, who create all conditions for a good partnership, are responsible for all bigger cities in our country after the latest elections victory,” Tsvetanov noted.
The CEDB deputy chair, Delyan Dobrev, and Menda Stoyanova put emphasis on the fields of agriculture, economy, energy, education, and culture as ones offering good opportunities for a partnership between Bulgaria and China.
The chair of the Bulgarian parliamentary committee on budget and finance expressed her high opinion of the growth in merchandise exchange between Bulgaria and China in the past years, saying a balance in it should be sought through increasing the share of Bulgarian exports to China.
Tsvetan Tsvetanov pointed to the forthcoming visit of Chairperson of the National Assembly Tsetska Tsacheva, Minister of Agriculture and Food Desislava Taneva, and Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Lilyana Pavlova to Beijing as an expression of Bulgaria’s friendly attitude towards China.
“All levels of cooperation between Bulgaria and China are of great importance for us. We are certain the 16+1 mechanism is a successful platform for cooperation between China and the countries in Central and Eastern Europe,” the CEDB official was explicit.
