Indian IT Company to Invest USD 19 M in Bulgaria's Ruse |

The Indian IT Company Sutherland wants to open a branch in the Bulgarian Danube city of Ruse. This became clear Saturday after a meeting of the Deputy Mayor of Ruse Aleksandur Nedelchev with the manager of Sutherland Moin Kazi, the regional news website ruseinfo.net reported. Sutherland is looking for office space of 5000 square meters. Its investment in Ruse will be worth USD 19 M, and it is going to employ more than 1000 people. Moin Kazi stated that according to research of the market in Eastern Europe, Bulgaria ranks 1st in Europe and 9th in the world as an investment destination. He also said Sutherland's decision to invest in Bulgaria was motivated by a research of its own that showed that Bulgaria is ranks 5th globally in the availability of qualified IT specialists. The opening of Sutherland's office in the capital Sofia, where 200 IT specialists will be employed, is scheduled for the coming week. The company is looking for people speaking several languages as well as for narrowly specialized computer scientists. Sutherland has offices in the US, Canada, Mexico, Poland, and the Philippines. It employs over 12 000 people globally and has an annual budget of USD 400 M. A second meeting between company representatives and the municipal administration has been scheduled when the potential locations for the future offices of Sutherland in Ruse will be presented. |
