Tourist Sector Reports Minor Increase Of Visitors

The 2014 summer season was hard and the results were modest, reports the Burgas regional tourist association, quoted by the 24 Chasa daily.

According to the analysis for the period April-October 2014, the south Black Sea coast of Bulgaria was visited by 1.2 M tourists, which is by 2% more than in 2013.

Ivan Ivanov, chairperson of the association, complained from the decreasing number of tourists from the Nordic countries. Most significant was the decrease of Swedes – by 28.7%. The number of Finns decreased by 16% and that of the Danes – by 11%.

At the same time, the number of tourists from Belarus increased by 41% and of visitors from Poland – by 17%.
