Bulgaria to Renovate Historic Sites with EU Money |

Bulgaria will recover 11 fortresses and hundreds of other historic sites over the next two years, Bulgarian Regional Development Minister Lilyana Pavlova has announced.
A total of BGN 300 M (approximately EUR 152 M) will be invested in the project.
The Madara Rider, a medieval rock relief, Pliska - the first capital of the First Bulgarian Empire, the historic village of Arbanasi, as well as the medieval Asen's Fortress are among the sites to be renovated.
A total of 61 Bulgarian municipalities will participate in the project, Pavlova has told bTV. The municipalities will also have to improve the infrastructure surrounding the historic sites. |
