UK Car Rental Bookings in Bulgaria Ski Resorts Up 50% y/y

Reservations for car rentals in Bulgaria have risen 50% on last year, according to data from British leading online car hire bookings website eRentals.co.uk.

eRentals.co.uk reports that the usually popular resorts throughout France, Italy and Austria are the locations for the bulk of car hire bookings this year, but also that reservations for rentals in Bulgaria have risen 50% on last year.

Bulgaria's Bansko resort is one of the most popular choices for ski fans who want to get more for their budget this ski season.

"Snow is falling heavily on the various pistes in Europe's top resorts now, and this has seen us experience a surge in car rental bookings. As is usual the likes of France, Italy and Austria are the choice of many skiers, but those people who want to stretch their budgets further this year are reaching out to the relatively new ski location of Bulgaria too," commented Briony Fairbairn, spokesperson for eRentals.co.uk.

Thanks to budget airlines making it cheaper than ever to get to various European destinations and also bargain offers to rent a car on a trip, UK ski fans are trying out destinations like Bulgaria to get a more affordable ski trip this year.
