| Foreign visitors in Bulgaria made 6.6 percent more trips in Bulgaria |

The number of foreign trips in Bulgaria increased 6.6 percent in October 2011 in comparison to the same month of 2010. The data was announced by the National Statistics Institute. The total number of foreign visits in October was 508 800.
The institute data shows that the largest increase was registered in the number of visitors who visited Bulgaria for vacation - 1.7 percent increase.
The arrivals of visitors from EU rose by 2.5 percent. The visits of foreigners from countries, which are not part of EU was up 10.2 percent.
Trips with vacation purpose had the greatest share in October - 37.7 percent, followed by transit visitors - 30.2 percent, business trips - 18.2 percent and others - 13.9 percent.
In October 2011, the number of the trips of Bulgarians abroad was 296 000, which represents 1.5 percent more, compared to October 2010. |
