Fall Technical Fair Opens in Bulgaria's Plovdiv
Monday, Sep 26, 2011
Bulgarian Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov, is officially opening Monday the 67th edition of the Fall International Plovdiv Technical Fair.

The Fair, held under the motto "New Life, New Technologies," opens doors in the second largest Bulgarian city, Plovdiv, at 11:30 am. The focus of the 2011 event, among others, is partnership between Russia and Bulgaria.

The experience of the two countries in the development of new technologies and products will be part of the agenda of the innovations forum to be held Monday and Tuesday.

Organizers are optimistic about having more concluded deals this year. 240 companies debut at the 2011 edition, while 108 firms are returning after not attending for some time.

A total of 884 direct exhibitors are taking part in the Fair while 590 companies from 44 countries are going to present 80 innovations – 31 global and 12 European.

Another focus of the fall edition is green business, represented by a large range of displays – from renewable energy sources and preserving the environment to solutions for reducing expenses of the average household.

The Fall Plovdiv Fair will feature seven car models of the Chinese Company Great Wall to be manufactured in its Bulgarian plant in the city of Lovech.
