Agatovo Village
The village of Agatovo is situated in the fore-Balkan, in the southern part of the Devetaki Plateau. It is located 22 km from the municipal centre – the town of Sevlievo, 27 km from the town of Lovech, 33 km from Pavlikeni and 14 km from the artificial lake Aleksandar Stamboliyski.
Its height 430 m above the sea-level. The highest point on its territory is 555 m above the sea-level.
The population of the village is 420 inhabitants.
The total area of the land is 37 024 decares, 20 797 decares of which - cultivated land, 5 082 decares the so-called pastures and commons, and 8 785 decares of forests where 5 550 decares are an integral part of the biggest oak trees wood massif in Bulgaria and they include the lands of nine neighbour villages from three municipalities.
The climate is temperate-continental. It is characterized by cold winter and warm summer. The maximum of the precipitation is in the end of May - the beginning of June. The snow cover consists of 14 per cent of the annual precipitation and is not quite weather-proof.
There are two other artificial lakes for sports fishing: "Dimchova vodenitsa" - 101 decares, and "Trestiav dol" - 7 decares.
Agatovo has a good infrastructure - all the streets are asphalt-paved; the water supply is from its own sources which ensure water for the village even in the driest periods; the electric street-lighting is one of the best in the municipality of Sevlievo; the electric supply is also reliable; there is a TV cable network; the snow-cleaning in winter is timely and of good quality
